Add an item to your menu

Create a new item on your menu and choose where and how it sells. Owners and managers can do this. If your store is integrated with Foodics, make menu changes in Foodics instead. Item names, prices, option groups and modifiers edited in Zyda will not reach your store. Steps 1. Go to Menu and select Items. 2. Select the category the item belongs to, then click Add Item. The Items page with the Add Item button 3. Fill in the item details, described below. 4. Click Save at the top right. Info - Item name — in English and in Arabic. - Description — optional. - Category — where the item appears on your menu. - Selected branches — which branches sell it. The item info fields The item info fields, continued Item tracking - None — always available until you change it yourself. - Inventory — a fixed quantity. The item goes unavailable when it sells out. - Capacity — a quantity that refills every day. The item tracking options Modifiers - Variants — sizes, colours or shapes, each with its own price. - Variant image — a picture per variant. - Option groups — extras and add-ons. - Fulfilment — delivery, pickup, or both. - Preparation time — per variant, if it differs. - Special notes — let customers type a note, optional or required. Create an option group

Show an item's choices clearly as a group, so customers can pick what they want. Owners and managers can do this. Steps 1. Go to Menu, then Items. 2. Select the item you want to create an option group for. 3. In the Modifiers section, scroll down to Option Groups. The Option Groups part of the Modifiers section 4. Click Create Group. The Create Group form 5. Fill in the group details, described below. 6. Click Save. You have to click Save option to add a new empty option. Then click Save. The group details Group Name Enter it in English and in Arabic. Link Group to Variant Choose which item variants the option group appears for. You can apply it to one variant, to several, or to all of them. Set Options Limit Turn on Allow customers to select a single option multiple times if you want customers to pick the same option more than once. Bulk sale options are added with a multiplier. This is useful when you sell packages, or items with a fixed number of pieces. For example, a box holds 50 pieces. You can let customers choose the quantity per option, such as 5 pieces of the same option several times, until they reach the total of 50 pieces. Set a number of free options and the system makes the cheapest option free. This works well for offers. Exclude Option Mark an option to disappear for certain variants or items. The exclude option setting Minimum and Maximum Selection - Minimum = 0 — the selection is optional. - Minimum 1 or more — the selection is required. - Maximum — optional. It limits how many options a customer can choose. - Maximum = 0 — unlimited selection. Group Options Enter the option names in English and in Arabic, and add their prices if you need to. Set an item as sold out

Mark an item as sold out, so customers know it cannot be ordered from your website now. Owners and managers can do this from the item settings. Operators can do it from Item Tracking. An item marked as sold out If your store is integrated with Foodics, make any menu change in the Foodics dashboard instead. Item names, prices, option groups and modifiers edited in Zyda will not apply to your store. Steps Method 1: from the item settings 1. Go to Menu and select Items. 2. Select the item you want to update. 3. In the Info section, scroll to Item Tracking. Availability is set per branch. The item tracking part of the info section 4. If Item Tracking is None, change Status to Not Available. Changing the item status to not available 5. If Item Tracking is Inventory or Capacity, set Quantity to 0, or change Status to Not Available. Method 2: from Item Tracking This method is quicker, and it handles several items. 1. Go to Menu and select Item Tracking. 2. Search for the item. 3. Mark it as Not Available, or set Quantity to 0 for inventory and capacity items. Marking an item as not available from item tracking Make an item unavailable for a set time You can set an item as unavailable for a period: 1 hour, 2 hours, 4 hours, or until the next day. When the time ends, the item becomes available again on the website. The temporary unavailability options Inventory and capacity - Inventory — the quantity does not reset.
