Create a segment targeting SMS campaign

Last updated on Sep 17, 2026

Send an SMS campaign to one segment of your customers, with a goal and an optional voucher. Owners and managers can do this.

Steps

  1. Go to Marketing and select SMS Campaigns.

  2. At the top right, click Create Campaign.

The SMS Campaigns page in the dashboard

  3. Add the Campaign Title.

  4. Choose the purpose of the campaign:

    • Retention, a smart campaign, encourages your current customers to order again.
    • Segment Targeting, a smart campaign, targets one customer segment with set goals.
    • Announcement, a classic campaign, goes to everyone straight away and keeps your customers up to date.
  5. Click Get Started.

  6. Under Recipients, choose All Customers or one segment:

    • Champions — ordered many times recently.
    • Loyal — ordered many times in the last three months.
    • Promising — ordered a few times recently.
    • New — made their first order recently.
    • Low Value — ordered very few times, and the last order was a long time ago.
    • Needs Attention — ordered many times, but it has been a while.
  7. Under Details, select the Campaign Goal: retain your champs, increase basket size, re-engage users, or encourage second orders. The goal helps you decide the content.

  8. In Voucher, select the type: No Voucher, Percentage, Amount or Free Delivery. Fill in the details it asks for.

  9. In Info, select the Campaign Language, English or عربي, and write the SMS Content. The toolbox gives you shortcuts for the direct link, the voucher code, the voucher expiry and the voucher value.

  10. In Time Period, set the start and end date.

  11. Review the summary: target segment, estimated customer reach, available SMS credits, estimated SMS credits, and the message your customers will get. You can click Send myself a test SMS.

  12. Click Launch Campaign.
